What is the Third Prong? (Song Anecdotes)

Last August, Rubberduckies released its first EP entitled The Third Prong. What follows are brief explications of the songs by the band's chief songwriter Reynard Cordero.

Humdrum
Reminiscent of high school frustrations, this song has enough defeatist attitude to qualify as a loser anthem. A song about our miserable daily routines, Humdrum ends with a vow to end one’s life in the face of extreme agony.

Aftermath of a Heart Attack
Originally titled Zombie:Walking (circa 1996) with lyrics encompassing experiences that arose from dorm life, estranged courtship, and sleep deprivation. Six years thereafter and emotional equilibrium notwithstanding, the song took on new meaning after yet another tragic summer.

Lazarus Rising
If you are a wife- or girlfriend-beater, have the decency to turn yourself in to the proper authorities, you pathetic Neanderthal! And if you're the miserable object of domestic violence, call 117 now.

Anti-Climax Villain (hidden video)
When Lord Anger summons, one is bound to abide. Collaborating with acclaimed director Paolo Dy, the band explores the infallibility of emotion in a brawl-infested Exorcist-meets-Minority Report caper.
